I used to love "Make Her Feel Good." That song was too grown for me and Teairra Mari at the time, but it was still hot fire. Now the girl Jay Z used to call "The Young Princess of the Roc," is back with a new song "No, No" and some pretty entertaining stories about her days at Roc-A-Fella (and her unceremonious boot from the label).
I'll be honest. I slept on Dwele until late last year. It was his performance on the standout track from Kanye's much-hyped "Graduation" that made me take note of the r&b crooner. I looked him up, and I pleasantly surprised with what I found. It wasn't the usual tepid neo-soul, but his lyrics are witty and his style is so laid back you can't help but chill to his flow.
I remember watching BET Jams a few years back and turning the channel everytime his song came on, but "Find a Way" was kind of a jam and now I'm sorry I missed out. He recently got dropped from his major label deal, but he's back with a new CD called Soul Survivor due in stores June 24. The lead single "I'm Cheatin" showcases that trademark wit, and I can't wait to see what's next for the Motown native.
